Nice : an historic residence on Mont-Boron

Some places are simply enchanting. As soon as one steps inside this private mansion on Mont-Boron, time stands still. Everywhere, immaculate white, with the Mediterranean and Nice’s Bay of Angels forming a sumptuous part of the decor.

On the east side of Nice, about a 20-minute drive from the international airport, this historic property has recently been treated to a facelift. From its past, it has retained a monumental marble staircase leading to the three floors. In place and stead of the out-dated layout and interior decor, one discovers a reception room of over 120 m2 facing the luxuriant vegetation of Mont-Boron, the Port of Nice, Promenade des Anglais, with the Alps in the background. Furnishings of geometric design are set off by lighting with lots of character and colourful mobiles, while a huge hearth provides warmth when required. In fact, home automation reigns supreme in this very “smart” mansion. Alternating parquet and Marmorean floors emphasize the play on perspectives and transparency. A special mention for the back-lit wine cellar, a perfect introduction to the professional kitchen. The master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet is joined by four more bedrooms. This sublime property also offers a self-contained apartment with three main rooms. A real garden of Eden, the pool area extends its invitation to relax on sun beds between the palm-trees.
