A "Town of Art and History", Fréjus is a seaside resort with a good reputation which welcomes over 90,000 tourists each summer. In the département of Le Var in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, it lies between the mountain ranges of the Estérel and Les Maures. Fréjus thus offers a rich natural heritage between forests and the sea. For many long years, its economy concentrated on agriculture, though it has since undertaken lots of modernization, becoming a major business hub in Le Var.
