Bidart is a pretty commune with about 6,500 residents in the Pyénées-Atlantiques. Its neighbours are none other than the highly renowned Biarritz, Guéthary and Saint-Jean-de-Luz. This former little fishing port has become a very popular address among both tourists and people working within the region. It proposes numerous sports activities including golf, riding, surfing… Particularly go-ahead, the town is now a very lively technopolis, even playing host to a reputable college for IT engineers.
Residences in wooded parks are extremely popular. The most highly-prized neighbourhood is Ilbarritz, close to a golf-course stretching out along the sea. The Résidence de la Roseraie, for example, offers lovely comfortable apartments enjoying unimpeded views of the scenery. Clients here mostly consist of retirees from Paris and Bordeaux, though just recently, ex-pats working in Asia, Singapore or La Réunion have also been investing in properties in Bidart.
