A commune with a population of 12,641 next door to the Principality of Monaco, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is rather like an amphitheatre on the shores of the Mediterranean. Louis Nucéra is no doubt the one who described it best : "The world was imagined by God. When he created Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, the Almighty must have been in a very good mood". Churches, civic buildings, and the famous home of Le Corbusier all grace the town. Entirely turned towards Monaco, it enjoys easy access thanks to two "routes nationales" and a "départementale" (the Lower, Middle and Upper Corniches). The train stations of Carnolès and Cabbé provide another means of transport.
Two types of owners share the property market here : year-round residents, often working in Monaco, who opt for the centre, and those owning holiday homes, mostly from Italy, who prefer the seafront.
