A first-rate seaside resort, Port-Grimaud lies at the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Listed as part of 20th-Century Heritage, this site in Le Var came into being in the early 1960's under the aegis of architect François Spoerry. It is laid out around some 54.3 acres of land and over 32 acres of "lagoons". And it offers no less than 834 boat moorings in all. Nicknamed "the Venice of Provence", Port-Grimaud can be split into three distinct neighbourhoods : Port-Grimaud I, Port-Grimaud II, Port-Grimaud III. Each one is managed by an autonomous association representing the residents.
Properties in Port-Grimaud benefit from a very special setting in Provençal style. In all, the site consists of 2,500 homes. In the case of houses, four types are to be found : "Balandrine" (modest surface areas), "Ostale" and "Cassine" (3 bedrooms), and finally the so-called "fishermen's houses".
