The 7th is without doubt the most prestigious arrondissement in Paris. It hosts several institutions, a good number of ministries and embassies. The headquarters of UNESCO, the seat of the Conseil Régional d’Ile de France, and the Ecole Militaire form part of this outstanding arrondissement. Several important museums are also to be found here, such as the Musée d’Orsay, Musée du Quai Branly, Musée Rodin, Musée Maillot, and the Hôtel des Invalides which houses the Musée de l’Armée and, notably, Napoleon's tomb. Also worth visiting, Le Champ-de-Mars, one of the capital's largest open-air spaces, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.
Accommodation in the 7th arrondissement consists almost entirely of apartments. Offerings of this type of property are consequently numerous and varied. The common factor between them all is, however, their very high prices, for this arrondissement is seen as a “beau quartier”. You can nevertheless find studios of 6.21 sq.m here for 62,500 euros. Even so, prices for studios can exceed 520,000 euros, as in the case of one example of 30 sq.m. This same amount is also the starting price for a 1-bedroomed apartment offering a minimum level of comfort. The highest price recorded in this arrondissement can be claimed by an apartment of 420 sq.m with 8 main rooms, in a Haussmann bulding in the Pont de l’Alma neighbourhood: 12,600,000 euros.
