In the Aquitaine region in the département of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Ciboure is in the Basque province of Le Labourd and the urban area of Bayonne. Benefiting from a privileged location between the ocean and the mountains, the town is a corner of paradise, ideal for family holidays. Especially as activities are far from lacking here : sailing diving, golf, parachute rides above the waves… As for gastronomy, it excels in dishes featuring the bounty of the sea, including the famous "ttorro", a soup typical of the town. A pleasant maritime shuttle links Ciboure to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, with which it shares the Bay of Socoa within the Bay of Biscay. This area is, in fact, administered by both Ciboure and Urrugne.
Architecture is an important aspect of Ciboure. One can cite, for example, the Fortress of Socoa, the Maison Ravel, Le Cloître and Chapelle des Récollets… The town's property market is rather diverse.
