Situated in the south-west part of the département, Auribeau-sur-Siagne is 10 km from the sea and 50 km from ski resorts. This lovely hill-top village in the countryside near Grasse is characterized by a small central square giving acces to four main streets, and other narrow streets with flower-bedecked steps. They are lined with old houses, some with barrel vaults that date back to the 14th century. There are several interesting sites to visit such as the restored 18th-C. church, the fortified Soubran entrance gate, and the sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-Valcluse. The commune also offers many pathways for strolls along the shaded banks of the Siagne.
In Auribeau-sur-Siagne, about 13% of the accommodation consists of apartments. Potential buyers thus have a limited choice of properties, though the prices posted are more appealing than for houses. As an indication, recent 1-bedroomed apartments of 45 sqm can be found for 182,000 €, and 2-bedroomed apartments of 72 sqm for 257,000 €. Some renovated apartments are on offer as, for example, in an old mill converted into independent apartments : 53 sqm with 1 bedroom for 145,000 €, 60 sqm with 2 bedrooms for 182,000 €. The commune's development policy aims to review the land use plan in some areas, with a view to expansion in a certain housing category.
