Château de Monthenault - Chemin des Dames
In the heart of the Chemin des Dames, the castle suffered during WWI, but afterwards the owners called on the architect Albert Paul Müller (1889-1965, who worked extensively in the region) to rebuild it using modern construction techniques. The castle was built of fire-resistant reinforced concrete, a method he also applied to the floors. The cornice under the roof is original in its height as well as in its vertical striations. The railings are of Art Deco inspiration.
