Land for development

The “Union des Maisons Françaises Aquitaine et Gironde” has declared that it is in favour of subdivisions. It had already sounded the alarm by showing that council housing for first-time buyers, ie. people earning from 1,700 to 2,300 € per month, had seen a 25 % drop in sales over the past 12 months, versus an average 19 % all sectors combined. Redensification of peri-urban zones and town centres, following the principle of mixed accommodation, would appear to be one solution. It involves releasing public but also private land, with the help of enticement measures.
