Vallauris, Golfe-Juan and the surrounding area

Long a centre of arts-and-crafts, Vallauris is located in the magnificent natural setting of Golfe Juan, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Bay of Cannes, the Lérins Islands and Estérel hills.

Still playing host to the international Ceramic Art biennial, the golden age of Vallauris dates back to the 1950’s which saw the arrival of artists such as Roger Capron, Jean Derval, Jacques Blin, not forgetting Pablo Picasso, who had moved there in 1948.

With working-class neighbourhoods of little appeal, Vallauris posts competitive prices for this area. However, families with coherent budgets prefer nearby communes benefitting from international schools with good reputations.

“The commune of Vallauris is gradually being modernized, though for many buyers its post code is not very popular. Some clients from outside the region, without any children requiring schools, find it interesting in terms of prices, and some neighbourhoods are in fact quite pleasant,”

explains Fabrice Di Ponio, Manager of the Prestigimmo agency on Chemin Saint-Bernard in the Sophia-Antipolis sector. For the past two decades, this agency has devoted itself to the sale of houses, buildings and shop premises.

“Most of our clients are people employed in Sophia Antipolis. Over the past few months, we have seen a complicated market for both sales and rentals, especially as rising interest rates have set a brake on projects envisaged by investors who acquire properties they then offer as rentals.”

Fabrice Di Ponio’s portfolio consists of over 150 properties : apartments in Antibes, Vallauris, Golfe-Juan, Biot... And villas in Mougins, Valbonne, Grasse, Cabris, Cannes, Roquefort-les-Pins, or even Auribeau-sur-Siagne, where we find, by way of example, a smart contemporary villa of 198 m2 on two floors, in grounds of 1,800 m2.

Offering 5 bedrooms and a living-room of 53 m2, this light and airy home of ideal design is prolonged by two terraces. In the midst of a quiet natural environment, and offering pleasant open views, it is on offer at 818,000 €. A great opportunity !
