“The first months of 2024 have been less buoyant than in previous years,” says Jean-Philippe Bossy, Managing Partner of the Canat & Warton agencies.
Valescure, as popular as ever
Radia Amar - 08 April 2024
A high-end residential area offering a quiet, green environment, Valescure plays host to two 18-hole golf-courses, the Golf de Valescure and Golf de l’Estérel. A prized address…
45 minutes from Nice, between Cannes and Saint-Tropez, Saint-Raphaël stretches out along 36 km of the coastline between the Estérel mountains and the Mediterranean shore, characterized here by coves and creeks.
Home to some 36,000 residents, the town is split into several neighbourhoods : the sea-front centre, the Old Town, the harbours, Boulouris, Le Dramont, Agay, Anthéor-le-Trayas, and Valescure, making Saint-Raphaël an irresistible destination for fans of the little white ball. From the 1960’s to the 1990’s, this neighbourhood surrounded by parasol pines and soothing hillsides took off with the construction of many villas, a few high-spec residences and private estates. A neighbourhood prized by newly retired Parisians and a well-off international clientele in search of a second home close to the golf-course, Valescure is also inhabited year-round by local families who appreciate its peacefulness and high ranking.
“We are seeing a real return to normal with stable prices, a serious clientele looking for a villa with 3 or 4 bedrooms, and budgets mostly ranging from 800,000 to 1.2 million euros.” The only drawback is that demand still outstrips supply, and well-off clients, rarely needing to apply for a mortgage, must often be extremely patient in order to complete their plans for acquisition in Valescure. Whether golfers or not, they all appreciate the quietness, high standing, and easy access to main roads leading to the coast or motorway. Valescure unquestionably remains a sound value in the Saint-Raphaël sector.
