The second largest département in France, Les Landes is widely appreciated for its protected natural areas, a fabulous shoreline, and many gastronomic specialities. The most renowned seaside resort on the Côte d’Argent, Hossegor has won an elegant image both sporty and green. The Atlantic Ocean, fine sandy beaches, surfing spots, ponds and lakes, not forgetting the Nature Reserve of Les Marais d’Orx…

The southern Landes, at the gateway to Le Pays Basque, also offers breathtaking panoramic views of nature. From Moliets to Tarnos via Seignosse, Capbreton and Hossegor, this region is highly prized by tourists who fall for its charm, many of them wanting to acquire a holiday home here. The seaside resort of Hossegor, long renowned for its literary aura, became a magnet for the world’s surf enthusiasts.

The commune has, in fact, played host to the French Surf Federation since 1977. Benefiting from elegant architecture in Basco-Landaise style, exemplified by its casino built in the 1930’s, Hossegor presents a tight property market flaunting high prices compared to those of its neighbours. With a lively yacht harbour and an active fishing port, Capbreton was long solely inhabited by sailors and vine-growers before becoming a trendy resort on the Côte Sud. With a beach 6 km long, Seignosse occupies over 8,938 acres including almost 6,175 acres of pine forests.

“In fact, here at Architectures, we systematically name the architects and interior designers in precise descriptions of the properties we propose, unless they remain anonymous despite our research.” Presenting a fine selection of houses all over Les Landes, from Hossegor, Capbreton and Seignosse to Biscarosse, the Architectures agency in Hossegor specializes in fine Basco-Landaise architectures, holiday villas around lakes and golf-courses, and contemporary properties for a clientele often Parisian or foreign.

“Although seeing a slowdown as everywhere else in France, our market remains attractive. Prices which became coherent again after the post-Covid boom remain stable, and owners with a genuine desire to sell understand the importance of presenting their properties at the price defined in our estimates.”
