Arcachon, the fine art of living

Founded in 2015 by Amandine and Sébastien Coquerel, Archik defines itself as a property and architectural firm. For the past 10 years, this original company has restored to architecture the place it deserves in the real estate market.

Active in Marseille, Paris and on the West Coast, Archik embodies a sensitive, esthetic approach to transactions whereby each property tells a story and reveals a vision of loveliness. Sharing this philosophy 100%, Cédric Fourteau, whose agency has existed for 17 years a short walk from the beach of Le Moulleau, joined the Archik venture almost 2 years ago. “Specializing in sales and seasonal rentals, our agency in Arcachon is a real centre of life and culture. We reularly hold exhibitions and events dedicated to architects and professionals in design,” explains this devoted fan, heading a team whose three members cover Le Bassin d’Arcachon, in particular Le Pyla, Le Moulleau, Arcachon, La Hume and La Teste-de-Buch. Archik Arcachon’s clientele reflects the area’s image : demanding and eclectic. Here one finds French buyers from Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux, north Europeans from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Germany, as well as ex-pats planning their return to France. Today, the market offers more choice than 2 years ago, especially in the case of family homes and second residences. “Our guiding principle is to propose properties already re-imagined by an architect, or houses in which everything needs to be reinvented, based on strong architectural plans. Some of them become real gems,” says Cédric Fourteau.

Le Bassin d’Arcachon in fact benefits from harmonious architectural renewal, with numerous renovations and refurbishments adding value to the existing structure while respecting the local spirit and precious natural areas. Carefully renovated houses now propose elegant, contemporary appointments, contributing to the value of real estate. Prices are stabilizing, with overvalued properties undergoing fair adjustments. “Healthier than at the end of the pandemic, the market has restored its balance. 2025 promises to prove livelier than 2024 : buyers have decided to carry out their plans despite national uncertainties. As for seasonal rentals, they maintain their on-going appeal.”

Properties currently presented in the Archik portfolio include a contemporary house of 215 m2 inspired by the regionalist style, in a landscaped garden of 740 m2 with a pool at the heart of Le Moulleau, on offer at 3,290,000 €, and a timberframe home of 200 m2, nestling in a park of 1,860 m2 with local shrubs and plants, between La Teste and Le Pyla, in immediate proximity to main roads, up for sale at 2,190,000 €.
