Antibes, steering towards stability

Full of charm and authenticity, Antibes is highly prized by both an international elite and retirees who have fallen for its spell, as well as many of the locally employed. They all appreciate its strategic location between the towns of Nice and Cannes, and close to Sophia-Antipolis.

The town of Antibes, formerly known as “Antipolis”, has succeeded in adapting and evolving while preserving its authenticity. Backed by a remarkable architectural heritage, Antibes combines the charm of the past with its Old Town, its cathedral, its Fort Carré, Port Vauban and its ramparts, while benefiting from the French Riviera’s glamorous aura consisting of sandy and pebble beaches, coves and creeks, its lively café terraces and its famous “Quai des Milliardaires” playing host to the world’s most fabulous yachts. An essential seaside resort on the Côte d’Azur, Antibes is known worldwide for its cultural events and tourist attractions. Right on the seafront, this medium-sized town is nicknamed the “Pearl of the Riviera”. Launched in 1990, the JJC International agency was acquired in May by Carole Serf and her daughter, Victoria Serf, the company’s President. Both professionals in real estate on the Côte d’Azur, they focus on sales and all kinds of rentals of quality properties in Antibes, on Cap d’Antibes and in the surrounding area. They can also count on the experience and dynamism of Cathy, who has worked for the agency for several years in both sales and rentals. Finally, the latest arrival in the team, Rose is developing the sector of Cagnes-sur-Mer and its nearby area.

“Our market is right in the middle of a rebalancing act,”

explain our experts.

“Prices which soared at the end of the pandemic are seeing reason and owners, who are rarely in a hurry to sell in Antibes, prefer to opt for observation and to wait-and-see. The result is a static market overall, with prices that are gradually adjusting. Even so, our contacts, certainly fewer than one or two years ago, are all very serious. With patience, good advice and the necessary explanations, we manage to orchestrate successful sales for all the parties concerned. Antibes is still a sound value, synonymous with the delightful way of life on the French Riviera... Offering all the infrastructures, services, shops, cultural sites and attractions required for a pleasant family life and an enviable retirement, Antibes continues to attract many buyers from both England, Scandinavia and several regions in France, not forgetting the locally employed. Whether in search of a permanent or holiday home, they target comfortable apartments near shops and the beaches, and lovely villas with gardens. We are currently presenting a good number of luxury villas, though we do not solely focus on this type of property, apartments of all kinds are also sought after by our clients.”

Optimistic and characterized by natural benevolence, Carole and Victoria Serf are taking advantage of this calmer period to upgrade the agency’s digital tools. Its website will soon present new high performance functions. To be continued...
