Plan-de-la-Tour offers many advantages. At the heart of the Massif des Maures, the commune benefits from an ideal location not far from the A8 motorway. Saint-Tropez is 26 km away, Le Muy 22 km, La Garde-Freinet 10 km, Sainte-Maxime 9 km. Sheltered from urban bustle, it unfurls magnificent scenery comprised of pines, oaks and vines. Nature here is well-preserved, the Mediterranean climate highly beneficial. At the time of their idyll, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradise acquired an entire hamlet here. Plan-de-la-Tour has also provided the backcloth for two clips by Richard Mudd. Even so, the commune has not become a meeting-place for stars of showbiz, like Saint-Tropez. Quite the contrary.
