Portugal’s buoyant property market
The popularity of Portugal is an on-going phenomenon. Among foreign investors, the French topped the list in 2016. According to the French-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, some 25,000 Frenchmen have acquired properties here since 2013. Drawn by the country’s climate, proximity, lifestyle and, above all, appealing prices, they are keener than ever to acquire holiday homes or even settle in Portugal on a permanent basis.
